Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s most controversial and successful musicians, has made bold claims about his career, saying he no longer needs to release hit songs to maintain his status. According to the dancehall artist, no other Ghanaian musician can reach his level of success, and any attempt to do so will end in failure.
In a recent statement, Shatta Wale said that his focus has shifted from creating hit tracks to helping young, up-and-coming artists by featuring them in his songs and providing opportunities for them to grow their careers. This declaration came after criticism that his recent track with Amerado quickly faded from the spotlight.
Shatta Wale, however, expressed that younger artists need hit songs more than he does at this point in his career. With numerous hits already under his belt, the artist believes his legacy is secure, and his attention is now on mentorship.
