Peter Okoye Accuses Brother Jude of Diverting Millions in P-Square Royalties

Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, has leveled serious allegations against his elder brother, Jude Okoye, accusing him of secretly diverting millions of dollars in royalties from their former music group, P-Square, into a private account.

In a statement shared on social media platform X on August 12, 2024, Peter revealed that he discovered a clandestine company named Northside Music, founded by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma Okoye, which was used to siphon off royalties. The company’s name closely resembled their official management entity, Northside Entertainment, making the deception hard to detect.

Peter recounted how, despite confronting his twin brother Paul Okoye multiple times about the missing royalties, he was met with consistent denials. Peter disclosed, “To my shock, the founders and directors of this secret company were none other than Jude Okoye and his wife, Ifeoma, with the registered address being Jude’s wife’s family home.”

After his concerns were dismissed by Paul, Peter took legal action, directing his legal team to focus solely on Jude and his wife. The matter escalated when Peter reported the issue to Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), leading to Jude’s detention.

During questioning, Jude reportedly admitted to diverting funds into the secret account, explaining that payments to Paul were linked to a separate debt from a property sale in the United States, not an attempt to exclude Peter from the earnings.

Peter clarified that he never intended to use the EFCC to target his twin brother Paul, known as Rudeboy, despite claims to the contrary. He emphasized that while their personal matters are private, P-Square is a public brand with a dedicated fanbase that deserves transparency about the ongoing conflict.

“Our fans have played a significant role in our success, so they have the right to know what’s happening with their beloved brand P-Square,” Peter stated. He concluded by promising to release more details, including the EFCC’s final report and other pertinent documents, once the investigation is complete.
