A$AP Rocky has dropped the latest single from his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb, titled “Ruby Rosary,” featuring fellow rapper J. Cole. The track features a downtempo, piano-driven beat produced by The Alchemist, with both rappers trading introspective verses.
Rocky has been building anticipation for his long-awaited album, which was initially set for release in August but is now scheduled for the fall. Prior to “Ruby Rosary,” he released the first single, “Highjack,” which features Jessica Pratt and Jon Batiste. He also premiered several untitled tracks during Paris Fashion Week, where he launched his first AWGE collection, American Sabotage.
The Harlem rapper’s recent track, “Tailor Swif,” leaked online and was later officially released but won’t be included on the Don’t Be Dumb album. In a 2023 interview with Dazed, A$AP Rocky mentioned that his new music represents his “best work yet” and that he wants listeners to approach it without any preconceived expectations.
Rocky’s last album, Testing, was released in 2018. He has since hinted at a new artistic direction, mentioning the influence of German expressionism and ghetto futurism in his upcoming projects during a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1
