Nana Yaa Brefo, a popular radio presenter, has denied rumours that she is a lesbian, stating that the claims were unfounded and fueled by her close relationship with colleague Yaa Kyeraa and their preference for wearing trousers.

Speaking in an interview with Accra FM, Nana Yaa Brefo explained that she and Yaa Kyeraa were falsely accused of being lesbians because of their clothing choices. 

She further emphasized that she has never been involved in any same-sex relationship and was married to a man and is now a mother.

Nana Yaa Brefo also addressed her preference for wearing trousers, stating that it is due to her physique and desire for comfort. 

She urged people not to judge others based on their clothing choices or appearance.

Explaining the chemistry between her and Yaa Kyeraa, Nana Yaa Brefo said that they share a close bond, but it is not related to lesbianism. 

She described Yaa Kyeraa as a big sister who respects her, and she reciprocates the support. Nana Yaa Brefo joined Angel Broadcasting Network in June 2020 after leaving Multimedia Group.

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced plans to organize a concert to showcase the talents of up-and-coming artists on March 6th, Ghana’s Independence Day. The event aims to provide a platform for emerging musicians to display their skills and gain recognition.

Bessa Simons, the interim president of MUSIGA, expressed excitement about the upcoming concert, highlighting its importance in promoting young talent. He mentioned that MUSIGA is collaborating with the Akwaaba Festival to host the show at the National Theatre forecourt, providing aspiring musicians with a stage they might not normally have access to.

Simons emphasized MUSIGA’s dedication to nurturing young talent and supporting the growth of Ghana’s music industry. He invited managers and corporate entities to attend the concert and consider collaborating with these budding artists, as they represent the future of Ghanaian music.
